INVITATION FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF CNCID  Following
the 42nd International Executive Committee meeting in 1991, the Chinese
National Committee of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage
(CNCID) is honored to invite all members of the International Commission
on Irrigation and Drainage to gather in Beijing, China to participate
in the 19th ICID Congress and the 56th International Executive Council
meeting to be held from September 10-18, 2005.
CNCID carries out activities under the guidance of the Ministry of Water Resources of China. It consists of individual and corporate members who are active in teaching, research and development, and consulting. CNCID accomplishes its mission by taking part in the activities organized by ICID, sponsoring of conferences, symposiums and workshops participated by relevant departments and individuals, holding periodical meetings, organizing experiments and studies, extending advanced technology and knowledge associated with irrigation, drainage and flood control by publishing books, periodicals, reports and documents, and providing consulting services in formulation of technical policies and construction of engineering.As an active member of ICID, CNCID sends delegations to attend IEC meetings and congresses every year and is represented at 23 committees and working groups of ICID, which is a great contribution to the ICID family. The Chinese people are famous for their warm hospitality. We will make every effort towards the success of the 19th ICID Congress and 56th IEC meeting. Li Daixin |
