    (中国水科院 9月17日北京报道) 今日，第56届国际灌排大会执行理事会(IEC)在京召开。ICID主席阿卜杜拉先生和秘书长戈派拉克瑞斯南先生主持了会议，各国国家家灌排委员会的代表参加了会议。

    会上经过选举，英国Peter S Lee先生当选为新一届ICID主席。

Since 2001 Director of Mott MacDonald and Managing Director of Dalal Mott  MacDonald, resident in India responsible for the development there of Mott MacDonald's  services in India and a technical resource for the other parts of the Group. He also  coordinates the Group's business throughout South Asia.

He retains a strong technical interest in water resource engineering, particularly through his participation in the activities of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage and the International Programme for Technology and Research in Irrigation and Drainage(IPTRID).

From 1994 to 2000, Managing Director of Mott MacDonald International coordinating business in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Latin American, and responsible for the Group's associated companies in these regions. He served on a number of external bodies advising on water and business issues.

From 1982 to 1993, he was in charge of number of projects, mainly in Pakistan and most notably Sukkur Barrage Rehabilitation, Left Bank Outfall Drain and the Water Sector Investment Plan.

From 1973 to 1981, he worked on many water resource projects in Africa, West and South Asia and UK. His experience includes work on surface and groundwater irrigation, land drainage and salinity management, flood control, spate irrigation, rainfed agriculture, water supply, reservoir and catchment management and fishery protection.
